Accommodation should be booked separately by you and is not included in the registration fee.

We have an arrangement with Lausanne Tourism, who have set up an accommodation platform for our symposium, where you can find different accommodation options in the Lausanne area.

Lausanne Transport Card : if you choose a hotel in Lausanne, you will pay the Lausanne tourist tax which entitles you to receive the free Lausanne Transport Card upon your arrival. This card gives you free and unrestricted access to all public transport services in the city (bus, train, metro) and is valid for the entire duration of the reservation, including arrival and departure days.

Shuttle Bus from Hotel Starling to SwissTech Convention Center

 

The Starling Hotel have arranged a shuttle service to and from the hotel to the SwissTech Convention Centre, especially as there are currently extensive construction works taking place in the centre of the EPFL campus which will make walking across not terribly easy. Please see the shuttle service times below (the shuttle can take 7 people and is available every 10 minutes) –  during the times below:

 

  • Monday, 1 September – 16:00, 16:10, 16:20, 16:30: Starling Hotel => SwissTech
  • Monday, 1 September – 20:30, 20:40, 20:50, 21:00: SwissTech => Starling Hotel

 

  • Tuesday, 2 September – 08:25, 08:35, 08:45, 08:55: Starling Hotel => SwissTech
  • Tuesday, 2 September – 17:50, 18:00, 18:10, 18:20: SwissTech => Starling Hotel

 

  • Wednesday, 3 September – 08:25, 08:35, 08:45, 08:55: Starling Hotel => SwissTech
  • No return – our guests will leave directly by third-party bus for a dinner (return to hotel around 22:30)

 

  • Thursday, 4 September – 08:25, 08:35, 08:45, 08:55: Starling Hotel => SwissTech
  • Thursday, 4 September – 16:45, 16:55, 17:05, 17:15: SwissTech => Starling Hotel
